Compassion, determination, intelligence, and an aptitude for fostering relationships form the pillars of Brandon Schwarzentraub’s practice as an associate attorney with Guest & Gray. With extensive and varied work experience in sales, research, patent law, and criminal defense combined with an impressive academic record, Brandon brings a unique perspective to his current work in civil litigation and probate law that enhances his ability to serve his clients.
A native of Dallas, Texas, Brandon earned his undergraduate degree in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biography from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Intending to go to medical school, he worked in sales, research, mediation, and various aspects of patenting before witnessing a family lose their land over an imminent domain issue sparked his interest in law. Deciding to pursue dual master’s and Juris Doctor degrees from Texas Tech University, he graduated summa cum laude with a Master of Science in Biotechnology and magna cum laude from law school with a Law and Science Certificate in Intellectual Property in 2012.
Following law school, Brandon, a licensed patent attorney, worked for the Kaufman County Public Defender’s Office, handling 800 to 1200 criminal cases a year relating to all aspects of representation and trial of misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. He joined Guest & Gray in 2021, where he leverages the relationships cultivated throughout his eight-year career with the Kaufman County Public Defender’s Office to provide his clients with the best and most confident legal representation geared towards results.
An attorney who truly cares about his clients, Brandon derives his greatest satisfaction from helping people navigate the biggest problems of their lives, whether it’s setting up plans that avoid extended protracted legal situations for his probate clients or translating his persuasiveness and people skills to achieve the best possible outcome in civil litigation.
While his faith and family come first, in his free time, Brandon also enjoys the outdoors—from snowboarding, hiking, and fishing to spending time at the lake.
