Rockwall County Divorce Parenting Class- Kids First
If you are involved in a Rockwall Divorce case then you have been ordered to take a parenting class. Three courts in Rockwall County, the 439th District Court, the 382nd District Court and the County Court at Law, have issued the following order for all divorce cases requiring all parties to take the “Kids First” or similar program within 60 days of the filing of a new divorce case. Here is the text of the court’s order.
- ROCKWALL COUNTY STANDING ORDER REGARDING PARENTING CLASS
Effective February 16, 2011, the 382nd Judicial District Court of Rockwall County, Texas, the 439th Judicial District Court of Rockwall County, Texas, and the County Court at Law of Rockwall County, Texas, here ORDER that all parties to all pending divorce cases involving children shall be required to complete a program for divorcing parents. The program should be completed within 60 days of filing the Original Petition for Divorce. A certificate of completion of the program must be filed with the court and placed with the other papers in the case file prior to finalization.
The “Kids First” seminar is an appropriate program to satisfy this requirement. Parties who wish to satisfy the requirement with another program may submit information regarding the program to the court for approval prior to enrollment in the program.
